Abstract

Let C (K, A) denote the space of all continuous A- valued functions on the compact Hausdorff space K, where A is a commutative Banach algebra. In this paper we show that the maximal ideal space of C(K, A) can be identified with K × M, where M denotes the maximal ideal space of A.
