Abstract

A new collocation technique based on interpolating subdivision scheme
has been introduced in present article to deal with second-order Volterra partial
integro-differential equation (VPIDE). The proposed technique uses the basis functions
of a subdivision scheme to approximate the spatial derivatives, while the temporal
derivatives are discretized using Euler method and integral term is approximated
using the product trapezoidal integration rule. Moreover, to verify the effectiveness
and efficiency of the proposed scheme, several test problems are tested along with
error estimation and stability analysis. Finally, the numerical graphical findings are
compared with other existing methods to validate the theoretical framework.
